Based out of Holy Family Parish in South Ogden and nestled next to the Wasatch Front mountains, Troop 929 is a solid group dedicated to the TSG Mission of raising up holy Catholic men!

The number 929 represents September 29th, which is traditionally known as Michaelmas. This is the feast day of saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. The story goes that St. Michael threw Lucifer down to Earth on Sep. 29th and Lucifer landed on a thorny blackberry bush. He then spit on the bush in distain. Thus, blackberries picked after Sep. 29th tend to be sour. Ha!

These three angels, in addition to Blessed Mother Mary, St. Joseph, and St. George, guide our troop to respond to the universal call to holiness using nature as the canvas for this adventure.

We meet monthly at Holy Family, and outings most months. Outings are varied and have included rock climbing, including weekend climbing outings, camping, hiking, ice fishing, attending sporting events, playing sports together, etc.

If you are curious about our troop, or would like to attend a meeting, please reach out to Capt. Cooper at troop929@tsghq.org to find out when the next meeting will be.
