Troops of Saint George – Troop 3: Venerable Emil Kapaun’s Boys, Atchison, Kansas

Welcome to Troop 3 of the Troops of Saint George, proudly based in Atchison, Kansas, and inspired by the heroic legacy of Venerable Emil Kapaun: Catholic priest, Army chaplain, Medal of Honor recipient, and model of sacrificial manhood.

Our troop is a fraternal Catholic apostolate dedicated to forming holy Catholic men and boys through faith, virtue, and outdoor adventure. Fathers and sons (ages 6 and up) journey together in prayerful pilgrimage, mastering practical skills like knots and camping, serving our Atchison community, and growing in the cardinal and theological virtues under Kapaun’s intercession.

We use the beauty of the Kansas plains as our canvas and the sacraments as our guide – whether on campouts, pilgrimages to Pilsen, or monthly virtue studies—to build brotherhood, character, and competence.

Join us as we live out “Under Fire, We Stand,” answering the call to holiness, courage, and fraternity.

Contact Captain Dominic Ishmael to learn more about our monthly meetings, campouts, special events, and how to become part of Kapaun’s Boys!

Virtus. Honor. Fraternitas.
Under Fire, We Stand.
