Troops of Saint George – Troop 3: Venerable Emil Kapaun’s Boys, Atchison, Kansas
Welcome to Troop 3 of the Troops of Saint George, proudly based in Atchison, Kansas, and inspired by the heroic legacy of Venerable Emil Kapaun, a Catholic priest, Army chaplain, and Medal of Honor recipient. Our troop is a fraternal Catholic apostolate dedicated to forming holy Catholic men and boys through faith, virtue, and adventure.
At Troop 3, we use the beauty of the Kansas outdoors as our canvas and the sacraments as our guide to foster spiritual growth, brotherhood, and character. Fathers and sons (ages 6 and up) embark on a prayerful pilgrimage together, building skills, forging bonds, and growing closer to Christ. Whether hiking the rolling plains, camping under the stars, or serving our community, we strive to live out the virtues of courage, honor, and faith exemplified by Venerable Emil Kapaun.
