The Men and Boys of Troop 1 were blessed with a day of service for our Catholic Church during the recent Blessed Sacrament Day VII held June 2nd – 5th at the Benedictine Monastery of Thien Tam in Kerens, Texas.
The weekend was a success in growing closer to Christ through daily Mass, Adoration, Stations of the Cross, two Pontifical Masses to celebrate Vietnamese Martyrs and Corpus Christi with a procession and many speakers sharing the joy and love of Christ. Troop 1 was able to support the overall success through helping in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms through helping restock supplies, cleaning the floors, trash pickup and much more. After quite a bit of rain in Texas and a wonderfully large gathering, it was no easy task, but the men and boys of Troop 1 were up to the challenge!
The gathering of the faithful were extremely appreciative of the Troop’s support and showered them with praise and plenty of great food. Troop 1 is already marking their calendars for the Blessed Sacrament Day VIII in 2017!
